Feedback on Written Assessments in Universities

In higher education, the role of assessment has evolved from serving only purpose evaluation outcomes learning process to as part purposes. Summative or formative, potential facilitate is now recognised. Feedback one most influential factors on but also least satisfactory elements student experience. How interest in, understanding of, and implementation feedback changed over time? What are general characteristics found in literature? To what productive directions might future research take? gain these insights, a systematic quantitative review literature written education was undertaken, revealing that field inquiry, despite burgeoning interest, remains nascent, mostly ‘stuck old ways'.
